The Packaging Technician is primarily responsible for labeling components, pouching plates and beads, pulling QC samples, and assembling kits for sale. This role is also responsible for label control and accountability, as well as labeling vials and keeping inventory of reagent components, boxes, and inserts.If you’ve got the necessary skills and experience to excel in this position, we want to hear from you. Packaging Technician (Supply Chain / Packaging)
Responsibilities
As a Packaging Technician you will be responsible for pulling the correct lot numbers and the correct quantity of kit reagents for final product QC testing or sales requests. This includes setting up kit assemblies, completing kit assemblies, and providing maintenance to and cleaning of equipment assigned to Packaging Department.
Additional Packaging Technician responsibilities include:
Preparing bulk bagged microwell strips for strip/plate assembly
Pouching vials, strips, and plates
Preparing boxes and sealers for kit assembly
Maintaining a fresh supply of desiccant in the desiccators and documenting desiccator set-up
Assisting in training of other staff members (as needed)
Maintaining own training log
Following and promoting the use and recognition of safety measures
Maintaining a clean working environment in the packaging area
Supporting the organization in other tasks as defined by business needs and supported by documented training
Packaging Technician (Supply Chain / Packaging)
Qualifications
The Packaging Technician must have the ability to read and verify product labeling, including product codes and lot numbers. Candidates must also be able to move product into and out of a 2-8 degree walk-in freezer.
Additional Packaging Technician requirements include:
High School Diploma OR GED (General Education Diploma), required
Must be able to lift large aluminum bins with filled reagents (up to 35 lbs.).
Experience working in a packaging environment
