You will be performing the supervisory tasks and functions associated with solid phase manufacturing. This management role also includes the operation of equipment, documentation, product control, product handling, storage, some in process testing and any other task associated to ensure our products reach our customers. The work schedule is Sunday - Thursday, 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM. Production Supervisor (Management / Solid Phase Manufacturing)

Responsibilities

As a Solid Phase Production Supervisor (Manufacturing Supervisor), you will be responsible for scheduling the operations to be performed by our technicians in order to meet production needs, while ensuring the coverage. In addition, you will perform employee evaluations while participating in the recruitment of new staff members and overseeing their overall development.

Additional responsibilities for this management position include:

  • Understanding source, composition, and characteristics of products and associated chemical and biosafety hazards

  • Ensuring that all department employees follow applicable laboratory OSHA regulations with respect to chemical hazards, blood-borne pathogens, and similar hazards

  • Participating in internal meetings associated with documentation reviews like CAPAs or Change Controls

  • Reviewing all work performed by the technicians

  • Leading the department’s investigations and corrections of non-conforming activities

  • Operating and maintaining the department’s equipment according to specifications

  • Identifying and troubleshooting incorrect performance of department equipment

  • Understanding FDA and ISO standards applicable to the department and consequences of nonconformance

  • Accurately calculating inventory or department statistics

  • Maintaining good department morale and employee motivation

Production Supervisor (Management / Solid Phase Manufacturing)

Qualifications

As a Solid Phase Production Supervisor (Manufacturing Supervisor), you must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with technical knowledge of formulation, aseptic filling and packaging operations. Extreme attention to detail and time management abilities are very important, as is having excellent organizational skills. You must be flexible and an effective problem solver with solid leadership qualities to lead a team in the manufacturing industry.

Additional requirement for this management role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or related field

  • 5-7 years of aseptic filling and packaging experience in cGMP manufacturing environment

  • 2-4 years of experience in a management role

  • Work schedule is Sunday - Thursday, 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM.

  • Six sigma training

  • Strong quality background
