We are seeking a full time Product Investigation Specialist to perform investigations for potential product non-conformance. In this role, you will support customers and field representatives by providing instrument and reagent troubleshooting. Product Investigation Specialist / Blood Bank Laboratory Technician (Quality Control – Medical Technologist – Customer Service)

Responsibilities

As a Product Investigation Specialist, you will be responsible for working independently to successfully identify product and/or instrument-related issues.

Additional responsibilities of the Medical Technologist include:

  • Reviewing assigned customer complaints and performing investigations

  • Performing investigational testing by manual and automated methods

  • Performing quality control on reagents and instruments as indicated

  • Preparing reagents and solutions for testing, as needed

  • Documenting receipt and maintaining product retention inventory

  • Performing required equipment maintenance operations as indicated

  • Maintaining work area, equipment, department, and all storage areas in a clean, neat, and orderly manner

  • Maintaining accurate, legible, and complete records according to GDPs and GMPs

  • Maintaining complaint file records and files as needed

  • Managing customer calls appropriately

  • Developing and maintaining a high level of product and instrument knowledge

Qualifications

As a Product Investigation Specialist, you must be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task. You should have strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. You will also be required to provide strong customer service to all customers both internally and externally.

Additional requirements for this Medical Technologist role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field, required

  • MT or MLT with 2 – 4 years of strong blood banking background

  • Certification: ASCP or NCA

  • Strong knowledge of Immucor’s instruments

  • Familiarity with Immucor’s reagents, required
