We are seeking a driven and results-oriented individual to join our team as a Procurement/Supplier Relationship Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of key spend categories and strategic spend initiatives, supplier management, supplier performance/development, and inventory management. Responsibilities

The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include the following.

  • Build and develop a strong procurement organization to support global procurement needs. Interfaces with the Global Supply Chain team, and others as needed, to ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials.

  • Oversee identification, qualification, and selection of suppliers for the procurement of direct and indirect materials, instruments and parts, and general supplies in accordance with requirements and/or specifications. Proactively conduct Sourcing Category evaluations to ensure Immucor is using Suppliers offering the best total cost of ownership.

  • Work with legal and key stakeholders to draft, review, and negotiate supplier agreements and/or terms and conditions.

  • Serve as the main point of contact between internal teams and assigned suppliers to ensure issues are solved in a timely manner, projects stay on track, and Services and Materials are ordered and received as scheduled.

  • Serve as a Global Resource for all Immucor locations and drive harmonization of materials and services across various sites for the company.

  • Define Direct and Indirect Material and Services category strategies to support existing and new sources of supply.

  • Partner with R&D, Commercial, IT, Operations, Supply Chain and other key stakeholders to develop forward-looking sourcing strategies and contingency plans

  • Define and track supplier performance metrics

  • Lead periodic business reviews with key suppliers and drive negotiations

  • Interface directly with Finance to fully and accurately document cost savings

  • Identify, prioritize and drive implementation of continuous improvement opportunities

Qualifications

As a Procurement/Supplier Relationship Manager you must have the necessary competencies required for this position.

These qualifications include:

  • Technical background, preferred

  • 7-10 years’ experience, preferred

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence and negotiate with a wide range of audiences

  • A team player with a collaborative approach to work

  • Experience of identifying, implementing, and managing business metrics

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple timelines

  • Understanding and ability to follow standards of SOX, FDA, CFR, and ISO

  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
