Medical Science Liaison

Responsibilities

The Medical Science Liaison will act as a field based scientific expert for post-transplant diagnostics working with appropriate Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Health Care Providers (HCPs). This is a highly visible role that will report to the Director, Medical Affairs – Transplant.

Additional responsibilities for this role include:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate KOLs and HCPs in areasappropriate to strategic initiatives in agreement with management.

  • Communicate scientific and/or clinical value of diagnostics as relevant to KOLs, HCPs,and appropriate institutions.

  • Provide support of ongoing clinical trials.

  • Capture and communicate field interactions in a compliant and timely manner.

  • Provide feedback for field materials.

  • Represent Immucor at key scientific conferences, advisory boards, external and internalmeetings.

  • Follow all corporate compliance guidelines in all interactions and activities.

Qualifications

Additional requirements for this role include:

  • 5+ years of experience working with pharmaceutical, medical device, and/or diagnostic companies.

  • Experience in the areas of: solid organ transplant, nephrology, immunology, and/or clinical laboratory testing is highly preferred.

  • Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, or MD).

  • Extremely strong communication skills.

  • Ability to travel 75% of the time.

  • Prior MSL experience preferred.

  • Proven track record in working as a collaborative team member.

  • Must be able to work independently.

  • Ability to collaborate proactively within the department and other appropriate departments.
