As a Material Handler in the receiving department, you will be responsible for performing all tasks and functions associated with processing daily receipts, maintaining raw material/component inventory, and the storage and distribution of the raw material/components.

Material Handler – Receiving (Distribution / Inventory)

Responsibilities

As aMaterial Handler in the receiving department, you will be responsible for performing verifying and processing (via data entry) all deliveries according to GMP and departmental procedures

Your specific duties as a Material Handler will include:

  • Handling, storing, and delivering all raw material and components according to FIFO, GMP, and departmental procedures

  • Operating and maintaining department equipment and ensuring that any required inspections are performed according to regulations

  • Identifying and reporting any unsafe working conditions

  • Actively participating in the training of new employees

  • Performing general warehouse work, including storing/rotating supplies, restacking pallets and organizing storage areas

  • Conducting quarterly cycle counts and physical year-end inventory

Qualifications

We are looking for a Material Handler who is a reliable and self-motivated team player who has the ability to interact cooperatively with coworkers.

Specific qualifications for the Material Handler position include:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Valid driver's license

  • Working knowledge of PC and keyboarding skills with knowledge of e-mail and internet

  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge

  • 6 months warehouse experience, preferred
