This position is responsible for leading all aspects of the company’s technology infrastructure, network and cybersecurity environment. Interfaces across affiliates, and seeks out, evaluates and mitigates business, technical, network, security and infrastructure risks.
This role will be responsible for hands-on leadership of a team of network and infrastructure engineers providing the day-to-day administration, operation, support, and design of our worldwide network, Data Center, Servers, Storage, Telecom and cybersecurity environment. Requirements include a strong background in the configuration and support of global Cisco network, VMWare, Storage systems and voice related equipment.
Leads and directs the work of others as well as simultaneously managing multiple IT service providers. Participates as a member of the senior management team in governance processes of the organization’s architecture, telecommunications, networks, servers, databases, storage, email, external hosting as well as desktops. This person will also be responsible for developing and executing cloud strategy for Immucor across the enterprise.
Also, assists in implementing and maintaining corporate security standards, technologies, and processes/procedures. This person will administer, monitor and maintain security tools infrastructure including, but not limited to, endpoint security solutions, security information and event monitoring (SIEM), system logging and analysis, Active Directory, Password Management, Privileged account management, and vulnerability assessment programs.
In addition, this position has overall responsibility for the IT Disaster Recovery technical plan including, developing the strategy and programs necessary to pro-actively protect enterprise data, systems, and networks as well as assisting the risk management team in establishing business process continuance plans.
In summary, this role is responsible for the delivery of all IT services and operations including Hardware/Software/Network/Services, from each desktop through and including each Data Center, vendor hosted and cloud environments.

Infrastructure and Network Architect
Responsibilities
The following functions are the responsibility of the Infrastructure & Network Architect. This individual may be asked to perform these functions or work together with a team from other Business departments and Third Party Supplier/Vendor personnel to integrate products and services, ensure compliance to IT and other Corporate Standards and guidelines, and to provide the appropriate technical leadership to support the needs of each line of Business.
Leadership & Service Management: 30%
Establish the strategic direction of information technology, but also responsible for the implementation, planning and execution.
Provide overall leadership, to direct reports as well as managed service providers, for all Infrastructure, Network, Cloud and Cybersecurity activities for the IT Department
Understand, advocate and support the enterprise's IT strategies, as well as analyzing its IT environment to detect deficiencies and recommend improvements
Define need for and develop IT Infrastructure budget and project definitions for strategic technology initiatives, prioritize the approve initiatives
Interact with Business Leadership to ensure that the Information Security Program addresses Business needs for protection and proactively identifying threats
Defines system architecture and provides vision, problem anticipation, and problem solving ability to organization
Manage IT infrastructure operations and lead IT teams towards increasing productivity and stability
Perform SLA contract management and oversee contract operations for all IT Infrastructure and Network service levels, Govern service providers
Define IT Service Levels in coordination with business requirements and 3rd party service providers
Responsible for establishing and insuring adherence to ITIL management processes
Responsible for external / cloud computing service providers who deliver High Availability services
Ensure alignment with industry frameworks such as the NIST Cyber Security Framework, ISO27001, COBIT, OCTAVE.
Review infrastructure technology vendor contracts and serves as primary contact point for integration technology vendors
Responsible for infrastructure Hardware, Network, Wireless and Software license agreements
Infrastructure & Network Engineer: 30%
Design, support, and maintain network devices in a highly complex environment.
Manage network infrastructure including programming of switches, firewall policy review and updates, segmentation, etc.
Install and support Cisco network equipment and network systems
Install and support global WAN & SD-WAN systems
Administer and support Server, VMware and Nimble storage systems
Administer and support Cisco Telecom system
Troubleshoot and repair network software and hardware issues
Monitor systems for errors and performance problems
Cybersecurity Engineer: 30%
Design and manage a governance framework to ensure proper enforcement of identity and access security.
Facilitate and manage the development, modification, and operation of security protocols including intrusion detection and prevention systems to protect the organization information from breach or loss
Develop a library of security controls, Governance practice that map industry and company standards to operational procedures, and accurately measures control effectiveness.
Collaborate with users to determine computer data access needs, identify security threats and violations and to identify and recommend needed programming or process changes.
Perform risk assessments, audits and tests to insure proper functioning of data processing activities and security measures.
Evaluate and make recommendations to enhance overall security posture.
Develop and/or provide training and guidance on acceptable use, risk management, incident response and security protocols to employees
Work with service partners to ensure monitoring operations comply with applicable regulations and standards.
Technology Framework Architect: 10%
Create a stable infrastructure through scalable, secure, and proven processes and technology implementations.
Standardize architectural planning to improve efficiencies in the business and IT environment by lowering the time to delivery & cost of solutions (IT & Business) across the enterprise.
Propose, sponsor and provide budget planning for IT Infrastructure projects to maintain, and upgrade the IT infrastructure
Mediate deviation of standards and govern technology compliance

Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, MIS, Computer Science or Engineering, CCNA certification; ITIL Foundation or better, preferred Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
Additional Requirements:
Minimum 12 years of experience within the Information Technology field, managing Data Centers, possessing a broad range of technical understanding, including infrastructure technologies, Hosting Services, Networking and virtualization and cloud technologies
Minimum 5 years of experience managing mission critical operational environments including IT Disaster Recovery strategies
Minimum 5 years of experience configuring and supporting global Cisco network equipment (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, etc.)
Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity experience with one or more of the following: ISO 27001, NIST, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), or Center for Internet Security (CIS) standards
Solid understanding of networking technologies including Cloud technologies and strategies
Extensive knowledge of traditional security controls and technologies, such as SIEM systems, IDS/ IPS, public key infrastructure (PKI), IDAM systems, antivirus and firewalls, in addition to newer offerings such as endpoint detection and response (EDR), security automation and orchestration, and application controls.
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
Proven knowledge in Cloud Security platforms and managing data protection technologies
Experience in managing enterprise identity and access management platforms
