We are seeking a Controlled Components Support Specialist with experience working in a vialing, labeling and/or packaging environment. This position is responsible for a variety of tasks and duties to support operations of our controlled production departments. Controlled Components Support Specialist

Responsibilities

As a Controlled Components Support Specialist, you will perform a variety of tasks and duties to ensure the appropriate day-today support for the operations of the Vialing, Labeling, Packaging, and Solid Phase Departments.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Perform tasks and administrative aspects of production operations according to department procedures, specifications or work instructions (job orders), calculating component usage, verify counts of products in and out of operation.

  • Move, store, and inventory product and controlled components according to department specifications.

  • Understand the source of products and associated chemical and biosafety hazards.

  • Complete tasks within instruction-defined time frames.

  • Create legible written records within procedure/work instruction-defined time frames.

  • Count accurately products received, handled, and labeled.

  • Following appropriate control measures to prevent mixing of dissimilar packaging components of product.

  • Stage necessary components per departmental SOP for the Vialing, Packaging, Labeling, and Solid Phase Departments.

  • Order required controlled Components (inserts, glossaries, labels and other controlled components.

  • Follow applicable laboratory OSHA safety regulations with respect to chemical hazards, blood-borne pathogens, etc.

  • Understand FDA regulations and ISO standards applicable to department operations and consequences of non-conformance.

  • Perform cycle counts as required.

  • Interacts cooperatively with coworkers, supervisor /managers of other departments and receives direction well from superiors.

Controlled Components Support Specialist

Qualifications

The Controlled Components Support Specialist requires an individual with a strong work ethic and experience working cooperatively with coworkers, supervisors, and managers of other departments.

Additional requirements include:

  • High School Diploma OR GED (General Education Diploma) required.

  • Computer proficiency using systems such as Microsoft Office and Adobe.

  • Experience using an ERP system preferred.

  • Ability to constantly use hands for repetitive motions.

  • Ability to use ladder to reach product/supplies.

  • Ability to maneuver Serum carts weighing approximately 700 pounds in and out of coolers.

  • Ability to stand over intervals of several hours at a time.

  • Ability to work overtime and irregular hours as needed to meet customer needs.
